Wise Tips from an Unknown Author

I love these 14 tips from an unknown author when asked what felt different as they grew older.  No matter what age, these are perfect reminders for our relationships.

1) After loving my parents, my brothers, my wife, my children, my friends, now I started to love myself.

2) I just realized that I am not "Atlas". The world does not rest on my shoulders.

3)  A few extra pennies won't open a hole in my pocket, but they might help the poor man save for his daughter's school fees.

4) I pay the taxi driver without waiting for change. The extra money can bring a smile to his face, he is working a lot harder than me.

5) I stopped letting elders know when I’ve heard them tell the same story too many times. History makes them walk the path of memory and relive the past.

6) I learned not to correct people, even when I know they are wrong. The responsibility for making everyone perfect is not mine. Peace is more precious than perfection.

7) I give praise freely and generously. They improve the mood not only of the recipient, but also myself!

8) I learned not to be bothered by some small stain on my shirt. Personality speaks louder than appearances.

9) I stay away from people who don't value me. They may not know my value, but I do.

10) I am calm when someone makes dirty politics to get ahead of me in the rat race. After all, I'm not a mouse and I'm not in any races either.

11) I'm learning not to be ashamed of my emotions, it's my emotions that make me human.

12) I learned that it is better to let go of the ego than to break up a relationship. My ego will keep me apart, whereas with relationships I will never be alone!

13) I learned to live each day as if it were my last. After all, it could be the last.

14) I am doing what makes me happy because I am solely responsible for my happiness and I owe it to myself."
